Mother of all blog posts :)

This summer we spent lots of time at 7 peaks with our pass of all passes and some fun times in Grandpa's pool. Sawyer and Landon both got more comfortable holding their breath underwater and Sawyer even learned to open his eyes.

This year at the School Carnival we paid for our endless bounce passes and sadly got cut short by a crazy storm that blew in.  Sawyer was so very sad after standing in line for the dragon bounce house for 20 plus minutes only to have it shut down because of the coming storm.   But we got snow cones, balloon animals, and the boys even got to stick their hands up a slimey nose and pull out a prize! What could be more fun than that? Overall they had a fun night.

Halloween 2012

Amber, Gabe, Kate, Adam and Lily

Grandma Harris and the Grandkids

Grandma and Grandpa as spider victims

The Avengers

Landon was the Hulk and Sawyer was Thor
Nate was a Satyr.  We didn't get a good picture of Halloween morning, but we glued fur onto his hooves and they looked much better and we redid the wig and facial hair. :)

I was a ventriloquist doll who forgot she needed glue for her eyelashes so it didn't turn out so great :)

Nan and Jared

Ryan, Meg and Mable
Megan always comes up with the most creative costumes; in case you can't tell she's Bob Ross the painter.

Great Grandpa

Our three costume winners were 1st the Satyr, 2nd Bob Ross and 3rd Spock

I made a few new Halloween decorations this year.  These candles made by melting red wax on to the white candles and the specimen jar made from a spaghetti jar.
I found this sweet clock that had mirrors on the ends and saw this in my mind! I think my mind has become a little weird, it's true.  But cool right? The big eyeball ended up being a paper plate and the small ones are styrofoam balls cut in half.

We found this idea on Pinterest.  It's just made up of Christmas and other collectible houses we found at DI and Christmas townspeople from the dollar store, all spray-painted black.  So easy.

The witches table had added a crystal ball, a spell book, and a baby dragon :) All from DI.  I made the spell book pages in publisher and water colored them and stuck them inside a book and then distressed the edges of the book pages.   The crystal ball is obviously an old light, I stuck Halloween colored lights inside of it.

Seymour, our man-eating plant, made from a styrofoam ball, toothpicks and a clay tongue also found on pinterest.

On Halloween night we stopped off at Grandma Harris's first and visited there for a few minutes then hit the mall for trick-or-treating.  We were about 3/4 of the way through when Sawyer said he was done. :) We were home early and snuggled up in our bed to watch an episode of the Munsters.  The boys had never seen it before and loved it.  Thanks Grandma for the movie!

Thanksgiving was spent at the Harris's.  The food was great and we played a fun game you can check out here.  We also took some silly pictures with mustaches.  Landon and Gabe totally had the most fun with it.  What characters. :)  I'm so thankful for all of my family -  immediate, extended, in-laws, every last one of you!  We are all so blessed and are so grateful for all we have.  Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving too!
