Back Again

Monday afternoon I had more bleeding and came back to the lovely hospital. I was also having lots of contractions after I got here, but wasnt in labor. So, to make a not so long story shorter, it is now Thursday, and I am still here and will be until I have 24 hours of no new bleeding. The good news is that on Sunday I will be 34 weeks, which is a good development marker for the baby. If he is born soon after that he will be much healthier.
So, we are basically taking it one day at a time. Ill Keep you posted!

Bedrest

Well, with mixed feelings I was able to come home from the hospital on Friday afternoon. Part of me wanted to just stay there so I wouldn't have to worry, but the other part just wanted to be home. Thankfully things are going just fine at home. I'm more comfortable for the most part and just being at home is always comforting. Landon is spending the day with Grandma Harris and then will be home usually in the evenings with someone here to help me with him. He doesn't seem to mind all the change and he loves being with Grandma. We are so very grateful for all her help!
I have a doctor's appointment Tuesday and a non-stress test as well. The baby is moving fine, so I'm sure that will go well. Then next week I have an ultrasound as well as my next appointment. Next Sunday will make me 34 weeks. That's my short-term goal with all this bed rest. Once we reach that goal we will take it a day at a time. Honestly, bed rest is a pain in my rear-end, and my hips, and my back... hehe. The first half of the day is usually fine. I try and sleep in as long as I can to take up time, and the fact that I don't really sleep that well. Then I occupy myself with other things: movies, reading, blogging, messaging. The last half of the day, after dinner time, is hard cause my body is usually sore and I'm bored, irritable, lonely, etc. (depends on the day hehe). So, we'll see how this week goes! I'll try to update after my appointments.
Thanks to everyone for all their help and love! I appreciate all you do for us!

Home Improvement

Over the last couple weeks we've done a little painting in our house to make things more exciting and our own. We painted our bathroom and put in a chair rail. The top is white and the bottom is bright, happy yellow. It looks great. I'll post a picture when I get a chance.

We also painted the boys room. The top is white and the bottom is bright sky blue. There are a set of stripes that we painted where a chair rail would be. It looks pretty darn good. It still needs some touching up, which I was working on before I was hospitalized. So, all in good time. We're glad we got at least the bulk of it done.

We'll post pictures soon for your enjoyment! hehe

Baby Scare

I seem to have found some extra time to finally update our blog. I am sitting in the hospital, 32 weeks pregnant, looking forward to possibly two weeks of comfy hospital beds and delicious hospital food.
Early this morning, about 5am, I started bleeding heavily and we came to the hospital. Our initial thoughts were that I was going into labor early again and we were a bit freaked out. (Landon delivered at 34.5 weeks) When we got to the hospital I was dilated to a 2 and 75 percent effaced. Luckily labor isn't progressing and the bleeding has stopped mostly. Unfortunately the bleeding and the cause of it is a major concern, hence my prolonged stay here.
Worst-case scenario: Bleeding starts again and they have to deliver the baby c-section.
Best-case scenario: No more bleeding, placenta is fine, baby holds off till at least 34 weeks. If things are still great at 34 weeks I could possible go home till normal labor starts, otherwise we'd deliver after the 34 weeks.
The baby is doing great and is weighing in at 4 lbs 14 oz. They say 32 week babies do really well, but 34 weeks is optimal.
I'm feeling fine mostly. I'm not really looking forward to the stay, but would rather stay two weeks than have the baby come any earlier.
Landon is looking forward to spending quality time with Grandma Harris and the family, and Nate likes having the Discovery channel to watch. He'll be going back to school and work tomorrow and sleeping at home with Landon at nights until something happens.
So, fun times for us all. Wish us luck and we'll keep you posted.
