My friend, Beckie, once said that if you want a pat on the back for something, you just post it on your blog. :) This is one of those posts. hehe
I'm a wanna-be graphic designer. As I've said before, I love to design stuff in Photoshop. About a year ago I started a little side business making photo cards. So far it's been for friends and family mostly (thank you family!). I just thought I'd post my most recent projects on here for you to 'enjoy'.

Inspiration

My mom was the queen of muumuu's, caftan's, or house dresses as you might know them. She had a million of them. So, when she passed away my sister took all her muumuu's and cut them in to quilt squares for each of us. I have yet to actually make a quilt with them.
My friend had this quilt on her blog. (I hope she doesn't mind me copying :)) It was my inspiration to finally make my mom's muumuu quilt. I'm posting this on here so you can bug me about it to make sure I actually make it now. :)

My Tulips

I love tulips. They are my all time favorite flower. They are simple, beautiful, colorful. I just love them. In the Fall of 2007 I planted about 100 tulip bulbs in our front flower bed. Last spring they came up all right. They were mostly yellow and red, not my most favorite colors for tulips. But this year, they came up pinkish-red, yellow with red stripes, and purple and they look absolutely awesome. I love them. I can hardly take credit for them, because all I did was plant the bulbs two years ago, but I am grateful for amazingly beautiful tulips.

Tooth Fairy Time

Friday night Landon told me his tooth was loose. I couldn't believe it! I asked him to show me and sure enough, his bottom two teeth were loose, one of them super loose. I can't believe he'd just noticed it. A half hour later he shouted out: Mom! My tooth came out! Yes, my child noticed his first loose tooth and lost it all with in a couple of hours. Craziness. It was a special moment, I even almost shed a tear. Seriously though, it was one of those special mommy moments where you realize your little boy isn't so little anymore.

Rock Canyon Park

On Sunday we went to Rock Canyon Park to take some pictures and there were some guys flying around their remote control helicopter. Needless to say, Landon thought it was the coooolest thing ever!!
